Cabernet Terre di Chieti IGT


Ruby red in colour, Cabernet Terre di Chieti IGT is recognisable by its intense aromas of ripe fruit, with hints of herbs and fine spicy notes. Of good persistence, it is harmonious on the palate with sweet and velvety tannins.

Food and wine pairings
An ideal companion for country cuisine, it is recommended with hors d’oeuvres, first courses in red sauce and semi-aged cheeses. As for main courses, it is perfect with game dishes, roasts and grilled meats.

Serving temperature
18-20 °C

In a medium to large glass, baloon or wide-rimmed to allow the aromas to diffuse.

Production area

In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.


Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

Selling period

Determined by the oenologist in relation to the optimal characteristics of the product. In any case not before the month of May the second year after vinification. In any case not before the month of April/May the second year after vinification.

Vinification and aging

Cold maceration of pressed grapes; soft pressing; fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature.

Sensory characteristics

Ruby red. Intense aroma of mature fruit, with herbal hints and delicate spicy notes. Harmonic taste with sweet and velvet tannins, of good length.

Food and wine pairings

Hors d’oeuvres, first courses with tomato sauce, meat-based second courses, semi matured cheese.
