Chardonnay Terre di Chieti IGT


Straw yellow in colour with bright greenish hues, Chardonnay Terre di Chieti IGT has a varietal aroma with scents of exotic fruit, banana and delicate notes of yellow flowers. On the palate it is fresh, soft and pleasant, with medium body and good persistence.

Food and wine pairings
Excellent as an aperitif, it has a predilection for fish dishes, especially seafood first courses, fried food and mixed grills, but it also goes well with delicate meat dishes and earthy starters.

Serving temperature
10-12 °C

in a medium-sized glass with a sufficiently wide rim to encourage the diffusion of aromas.

Production area

In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.


Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

Selling period

January/February, the year after harvest.

Vinification and aging

Brief cold maceration of the pressed grapes; soft pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.

Sensory characteristics

Straw yellow in colour with bright greenish hues. Distinct nose of exotic fruit, banana, citrus fruits and delicate hints of yellow flowers. Fresh, soft and pleasant. Medium body with good persistence.

Food and wine pairings

Ideal with the based on fish, delicate first courses, white meat, fresh cheese and string cheese. Excellent as an aperitif.
