Perfect for traditional Mediterranean dishes, it pairs very well with first courses with meat sauces as well as with red and white grilled meat. Great with several medium-aged cheeses.

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 90% – Sangiovese 10%.

Production area

In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.

Terrain

Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

Selling period

Determined by the oenologist in relation to the optimal characteristics of the product. In any case not before the month of May the second year after vinification. In ogni caso non prima del mese di maggio dell’anno successivo a quello di vinificazione.

Vinification and aging

Maceration of the skins at controlled temperature in stainless steel fermentation tanks.
