Straw yellow in colour with greenish notes, Passerina Terre di Chieti IGT has a persistent and fruity bouquet, with citrusy notes. On the palate it has a good structure, excellent freshness and a full and intense flavour.

Food and wine pairings
Excellent as an aperitif, it elegantly accompanies all sorts of seafood dishes, revealing a predilection for shellfish and seafood, raw as well. With white meats and unseasoned cheeses it is a perfect match.

Production area

In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.


Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

Selling period

January/February, the year after harvest.

Vinification and aging

Soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks

Sensory characteristics

Straw yellow colour with greenish hues. Persistent, fruity nose with hints of citrus. Good structure, excellent freshness, full, intense flavour.

Food and wine pairings

All fish, shellfish and seafood dishes, including raw, non-mature cheeses and white meats. Excellent aperitif.
