Straw yellow in colour with golden notes, Pecorino Terre di Chieti IGT is recognisable by its aromas of yellow fruit which blend with floral and balsamic notes. On the palate it reveals a savoury taste, good structure and long persistence

Food and wine pairings
Excellent as an aperitif and with hors d’oeuvres, it is perfect with all fish dishes, especially shellfish and soups. It also goes well with delicate meat dishes and vegetables.

10-12 °C

In a medium-sized glass with a sufficiently wide rim to encourage the diffusion of aromas.

In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.


Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

Selling period

January/February, the year after harvest.

Vinification and aging

Soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks

Sensory characteristics

Pale yellow with golden hues. Aroma of fresh yellow and mature fruit, delicate balsamic and floral notes. With good structure and long length.

Food and wine pairings

Ideal with raw fish and seafood. It matches well also with delicate meatbased dishes, with vegetables, fresh and semi-mature cheeses. Excellent as an aperitif.
